So now that you’ve read my About page, you might be wondering where to go.  Let me help you out a bit.

What I am creating here at YourHealthAtTheCrossroads.com is not just a place where people just get some quick tips on what to eat and how to exercise.  Rather, I am creating a place where people can be empowered to take control of their own health…where people can receive the tools they need to be healthy, along with the motivation to do it…where people truly become healthier as a result of reading.  For real.

    When I read the Facts on the side of “Pure Protein Bars”, I was surprised to find each bar contained 23% of Daily (allowance) of Saturated Fat. 19 grams of protein is good, but how is it that consuming that much saturated fat is even ok? These bars were bought at Target in Warner Robins, GA. And made Worldwide Sport Nutritional Supp Bayport, NY, 11705. Phone # 800-854-5019

    • Joe, you’re right. That is a good bit of saturated fat. However, I would say that the source of it is what matters mostly. When you focus on eating whole foods, in my opinion you have a bit more leeway since healthy foods can also contain saturated fat. However, when it comes to processed foods, you do have to be more on the wary side. These bars seem to not be as natural as some of the others out there, like Larabar or Clif. You might want to check those out. Hope this helps.
